MATTHEW 4,5 verse 12

 MATTHEW 4,5


18 While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two broth- ers, Simon (who is called Pe- ter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.


19 And he said to them, "Fol- and taught them, saying: low me, and I will make you fishers of men."


20 Immediately they left their nets and followed him.


21 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.


22 Immediately they left the boat and their father and fol- lowed him.


23 And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease called sons of God. and every affliction among the people.


24 So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, epileptics, and par- alytics, and he healed them.


25 And great crowds fol- lowed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Je- rusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.


CHAPTER 5


Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disci ples came to him. 2 And he opened his mouth


3"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the king dom of heaven.


4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.


5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.


6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righ teousness, for they shall be satisfied.


7 "Blessed are the merciful, 1357 for they shall receive mercy. 8 "Blessed are the pure in


heart, for they shall see God. 9 "Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be


10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteous ness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.


11"Blessed are you when others revile you and perse cute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.


12 "Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heav en, for so they persecuted the prophets who were be fore you.
